The District 5 Foundation made the decision to cancel this year’s Springfest 2026 event at Dutch Fork High School. The board decided to concentrate efforts towards other fundraising events and is not taking the cancellation lightly.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances District 5 Foundation Springfest 2026 must be canceled,” said D5 Foundation Chairman Matt Boyeson. “The board is deeply saddened to announce this disappointing news and we look forward to continuing to foster community and build relationships throughout the Lex/Rich 5 Clusters.“
Boyeson went on to thank the community for their continued support and said there is still plenty to look forward to. The D5 Foundation is sponsoring a luncheon later this month for all past Lex-Rich District Five employees who retired from the district and a Gala is planned for the Spring.
Springfest hopes to return in 2027.
