The Crooked Creek Art League’s Feb. 16 meeting will feature clay sculpture artist Diane Gilbert, who will present “Cheminement.”
Gilbert’s sculptural work is inspired by the natural world, where mosquitoes can be just as fascinating as monkeys and snakes. Her clay creatures—both large and small—emerge from a lifelong curiosity about living forms and a desire to give them presence, character and, at times, a quiet sense of humor.
The meeting will be held at Crooked Creek Park in Chapin, beginning with refreshments and social time at 5:30 p.m., followed by a brief business meeting and the program at 6 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
