Defending Coastal Plain League champion Lexington County Blowfish held its second annual “Hooties” Night this past Friday. The contest against the Macon Bacon saw the team wear their Hooties themed jerseys which were auctioned off online.
Proceeds from the event benefitted the Lexington Medical Center Foundation and the Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation matched the $8,427 raised from the auction. Following the game, Lexington County Blowfish co-owner Bill Shanahan presented a check for $16, 854 to the LMC Foundation.
