Chapin Town Council saw the return of two familiar faces as Councilwoman Vicky Shealy and Councilman Mike Clonts were officially sworn in for their new terms in 2024. Both council members secured their seats in the November elections and took the oath of office at the first council meeting of the year, administered by Judge Gary Reinhart.
Expressing gratitude towards the citizens of Chapin for their support during the elections, Councilwoman Shealy stated, “Thank you for your confidence in me. I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish since I’ve been in my seat, and I’m very excited for the future of our town.”
Councilman Clonts, reflecting on his re-election, expressed appreciation for the community’s support. “I’m grateful for the support that was given to me by the people of Chapin who were willing to come out and vote in this election. I had not planned to run for re-election, but since I’ve been elected, I will gladly serve, and I pray that I will serve to their honor.”
With the re-elected members back in their roles, Chapin Town Council looks forward to continuing its efforts to serve and enhance the community in the coming year.
