The Chapin We Care Food Pantry shelves are very low. Let us in Chapin fill up those shelves by donating canned goods, soups, grits, rice, snacks. There is a box by the door, or come during opening hours , Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-12 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-6 p.m. They are located at 1800 Chapin Rd, and their phone number is 803-345-3244.
The Chapin American Legion Post 193 has a bingo game on October 2, 2025, at 7 pm at Chapin Town Hall, 157 Columbia Ave the cost is a $3 entry fee and $20 for 13 games and only cash is accepted, and doors open at 5:30. They are joining in the annual 2025 motorcycle ride benefiting homes for troops on October 5, starting at the Texas Roadhouse, go to hfotusa.org for more information.
The 2025 Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at Chapin Town Hall on Saturday, October 11 from 9-4 p.m. There will be art, vendors, and live music performances, a family friendly event for everyone. The Crooked Creek Community Yard Sale is also on Saturday October 11 from 7-10 am at 1098 Old Lexington HWY.
Help is desperately needed at Chapin’s Percy’s Angelic Cat Rescue, they need volunteers to coordinate rescue efforts, foster homes, and financial funding to cover costs and medical bills. One can just volunteer a few hours at the site or at home with phone calls, helping transport, feeding kittens, and social media coordination This is great for someone wanting to get into the of veterinary tech field, or future veterinary career plans.
