The Chapin Junior Women’s Club is a good place for young women to meet other women. They meet on the 2 nd Tuesday of the month at Mt. The Chapin Ruritan Club is taking orders now until October 27 for sweet potatoes, with delivery expected during the first week of November. Get a 40-lb. box for $35, or 20 pounds for $20. To place an order call 803-223-5395
Chapin’s St. Francis of Assisi Thrift shop serves the Chapin area to provide items for families in need. You can shop there on Friday 1-4 p.m. and on Saturday, 10-1 p.m. They are open for donations Mon- Wed from 9-12, Friday, 9-4 and on Saturday 9-1 p.m.
Are you an aspiring artist? Are you an experienced artist? The monthly Crooked Creek Art League has its monthly meeting on October 20 at 6 p.m. at Crooked Creek, 1098 Old Lexington Hwy. The speaker will be Sekelle Nathan. On Friday, Oct 17-18, they will also have a workshop of floral impressions with sculpture in clay, with Olga Yukhno, from 9-4 p.m.
