Team Knot Right dominates October MSC tournament

Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco on Oct. 19.

Seventeen teams participated in the MSC October tournament. Thirty striped bass were brought to the scales weighing a total of 199.05 pounds with a 6.64-pound average. Fifteen teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.

Finishing in first place with a total weight of 18.49 pounds was Team Knot Right, captained by Allen Rodgers along with Amelia Keller. It also won the Team Wildman Big Fish award sponsored by the Nichols Store with a 10.61-pound Striper.

Team Knot Right also won the Synergy eTherapy Live release award and was the TWT Winner.

Finishing in second place with a total weight of 16.54 pounds was Team Fish Whistle captained by Mitch Crapps along with Alex Felder.

Finishing in third place with a total weight of 16.49 pounds was Team Southern Reel captained by Mike Hartley along with Bryan Seigle and John Kelly.

Lady Angler Award went to Amelia Keller from Team Knot Right. Youth Angler Award went to Noah Baumgardner from Team Carolina River Rats.

Middle of the Pack with a total weight of 13.02 went to Team Reel Guys. Smallest Creel with a total weight of 7.18 pounds was Team Wicked Crazy Lady.
