Palmetto Thrift Store Welcomes New Owner and Revitalizes Chapin Location

Palmetto Thrift Store, formerly known as Chapin Thrift Store, is now under the ownership of Debbie Hammond, who has successfully managed the store’s Columbia location for the past four years. Known for her commitment to community service and charitable initiatives, Hammond is dedicated to making a positive impact in the Midlands.

Palmetto Thrift Store proudly supports local charities, with Midlands Orphan Relief (MOR) as its primary beneficiary. MOR provides essential services to children at risk of abandonment, abuse, and neglect throughout the region.

Employing around 10 staff members at each location, Palmetto Thrift Store is committed to creating job opportunities within the community. Many team members have been with the store since its inception, and Hammond deeply values their dedication and commitment.

Recently, the Chapin location underwent significant renovations, resulting in a more spacious, fresh, and inviting atmosphere for shoppers. The goal is to provide an exceptional shopping experience for every visitor.

As newcomers to the Chapin area, Palmetto Thrift Store is grateful for the community’s support, whether through shopping or donations of gently used household items. The store is also actively seeking vendors with quality products who are interested in showcasing their offerings in a high-traffic location.

Palmetto Thrift Store is located at 1304 Chapin Road, Chapin, SC 29036, and operates Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
