The latest South Carolina Girls Golf Coaches Poll has Chapin leading the way.
The Lady Eagles top the Class 5A Division II rankings in the poll released Monday. The Division I rankings has archrivals River Bluff and Lexington at first and third, respectively.
Last week, Chapin placed third at the Smith Memorial at Newberry Country Club. Lilly Reed Black was the individual winner and she and Mia Andrade made the All-Tournament team.
On Tuesday, Chapin won the Region 4-5A qualifier at Mid-Carolina Club on Tuesday. Reed was the top medalist.
