LEXINGTON-RICHLAND – April 10, 2025 — Academic excellence is shining bright in Lexington-Richland School District Five as dozens of high-achieving students were recently recognized for scoring among the highest in the district on national college readiness exams including the PSAT, SAT, and ACT.
Students from Chapin, Dutch Fork, Irmo, and Spring Hill high schools were celebrated for earning top scores in their grade levels, as well as for achieving perfect scores in individual test sections.
PSAT Recognition
The PSAT, taken by 9th through 11th grade students, serves as both a preparatory and qualifying exam for college scholarships. The highest possible PSAT score is 1520. The following students earned the top three scores at their schools:

District Five Chief of Academics Tina McCaskill praised the students and the district staff that support them.
