Competing in a new League with mostly Upstate opponents has proven to be a challenge so far for Chapin/Newberry Post 193/24.
It was 1-3 in League V entering Tuesday’s home contest with Easley Post 52 at Newberry College. This followed an 11-0 shutout loss to Easley.
On June 11, Chapin/Newberry defeated Greenwood Post 20 4-2 for its first League win.
Luciano Cesario hit a 2-run double as part of a 3-run rally in the Bottom 6th. The win snapped a 4-game losing streak for Chapin/Newberry (3-6, 1-3).
