Chapin High School teacher Brent Riley and student Emma Easterling have been named the Teacher and Student of the Month for the Chapin Chamber of Commerce.
“Mr. Riley is an English teacher at our school is the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year,” Principal Ed Davis said. “He is a punk rock music aficionado and is widely known for his joke of the day. He is also known for writing handwritten thank-you notes and teaches his seniors this valuable practice and life skill.”
Davis said, “Emma is a senior and carries a demanding course schedule taking only Honors and AP courses. She also participates in Chapin High’s Naval JROTC unit and has held positions including Commanding Officer. She also works as a CPR instructor with the American Red Cross. She is a great representation of a Chapin High School student.”
