The Chapin Chamber of Commerce has recognized Cait Kepler and Sophie Ann Hart from Lake Murray Elementary School as the Teacher and Student of the Month.
Cait Kepler, the school’s art teacher and Teacher of the Year, was praised for her passion for art and dedication to her students.
“She is an exceptional art teacher whose love of art and for her students shines through everything she does,” said Principal Kristen Eubanks. “She goes above and beyond in her classroom and for our school. She helps facilitate our schoolwide Arts Day and has also helped create murals around the school. Her community leadership has brought joy and appreciation to the arts.”
Sophie Ann Hart, a 4th grader, was recognized for her perseverance, determination, and leadership.
“Sophie Ann is consistently a bright spot in our school community,” said Eubanks. “She values her education, has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. She is a joy to have in the classroom and a wonderful role model to her peers.”
