CHAPIN, S.C. – Capers Chapel United Methodist Church in Chapin is extending an open invitation to all who are seeking a place of worship to join them on Sundays.
Pastor Jesse Rogers leads the congregation at this historic church, which has been a cornerstone of the community since its establishment in the early 1850s. Originally built along a wagon road leading to Peak, Capers Chapel was designed to serve a few small families who could conveniently walk there. Over the years, the church has undergone modest renovations and improvements, preserving its historical charm while accommodating the needs of its parishioners.
The church is located at 463 Capers Chapel Rd., Little Mountain, off Broad River Rd., roughly halfway between the intersections of Hwy 202 and Martin Rd. Although it can be a bit challenging to find, the effort is well worth it.
Capers Chapel United Methodist Church invites everyone to experience their warm and welcoming community. Services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. For more information or directions, you can contact the church at 803-276-4200 or via email at caperschapelumc@gmail.com.
