Chapin quarterback Brady Albro enjoyed a historic night at Cecil Woolbright Field.
The senior not only led the Eagles to a 62-21 rout of A.C. Flora. This was the most points scored in the series in which Chapin took an 8-7 advantage.
In one game, Albro broke two career records for touchdowns and passing yards. With the second of four touchdown passes, he surpassed Logan Bailey’s record of 45.
After finishing the evening with 370 passing yards, Albro broke Roger Pedroni’s career record of 5,446 yards.
“It was awesome man,” Albro said afterwards. “Shout out to O-line. They gave me all the time in the world to pick them apart. Khaled (Bostick) and Stone (Furrey), all the receivers made great plays. I didn’t know I was close to (the record). I’m just glad we went out and executed and won.”
Bostick had two of Albro’s touchdown receptions and finished with seven receptions for 108 yards. Stone Furrey also caught two touchdowns, including a 50-yard scoring pass with 18 seconds left in the first half.
Running back Cole Martin rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns and caught seven passes for 97 yards. It was his second straight 100-plus yard game after missing most of last season with an injury.
The Eagles head back on the road to face winless Spring Valley. They have won the last three meetings in the series.
