Families flocked to the Chapin Branch Library on Monday, December 2, for a festive holiday event filled with joy and surprises. While Santa Claus was the main attraction, posing for photos and spreading holiday cheer, the Grinch made a surprise appearance, adding a mischievous twist to the evening.
Children and families enjoyed a variety of activities, including arts and crafts and delicious holiday treats. A highlight of the event was the chance for children to receive a free book, generously provided by the Friends of the Chapin Branch Library.
“It’s always wonderful to see the community come together,” said a library staff member. “This event brings a special kind of magic to the holiday season.”
The celebration is just the start of holiday fun across the Lexington County Public Library system. Events are planned at branches throughout the season, offering everything from storytimes and crafts to live performances.
One upcoming event at the Chapin Branch Library is the performance of Holly and the Secret Santa by Porkchop Productions. The show will take place on Saturday, December 14, at 10:30 a.m., promising more holiday excitement for families to enjoy.
