Lexington County Republican Party endorses Conservative School Board Candidates

The Lexington County Republican Party (LCRP) has made their picks for school board candidates in the upcoming general election.

“When we began the endorsement committee a short time ago, a huge priority was electing strong people to our school boards,” Chairman Mark Weber said. “Our values– including fiscally and culturally– are not being represented by school boards in a heavily Republican County. The LCRP wants to change that and these endorsements reflect that.”
Weber continued “The Endorsement Committee conducted a deep dive based on surveys sent to candidates, their records if they have previously served and interviews when additional information from candidates was needed. The process has worked again and the full Executive Body has made their choices. We are ready to get work for them.”

Using their stringent standards, the LCRP endorsed candidates in three districts – Lexington Districts One, Two and Five. In District One, the party is supporting McKenzie Flashnick and Dana Homesley. In District Two, the party is supporting “Tre” Bray, Mary Burkett and Cliff Springs. In District Five, the party is supporting Catherine Huddle and Ken Loveless.

“The LCRP is excited about these candidates and their ability to win,” said Weber. “Our resources are now going to be all in on electing these conservative candidates for school board in Lexington County.”

The elections for school board take place on Tuesday, November 5 with early voting taking place at multiple locations from October 21-November 2. For more information on the Lexington County Republican Party, please visit LexGOP.com
