The Friends of the Chapin Branch Library are delighted to introduce the Judy Carter Scholarship, a $500 award designed to support the educational journey of an eligible graduating senior towards their post-secondary expenses. Named in honor of Judy Carter, who has dedicated over 25 years of service to our community through the Chapin Library, this scholarship recognizes her enduring commitment to education and community enrichment. Fondly known as Ms. Judy, she continues to contribute to the community by sharing her wealth of experience and knowledge through engaging children’s programs and outreach story times.
This scholarship opportunity is open to any eligible graduating senior from Chapin High School, Springhill High School, or local home and private school students. Interested applicants can obtain application forms at the Chapin Branch of the Lexington County Public Library, situated at 129 NW Columbia Avenue, Chapin, SC 29036. Alternatively, applications can be requested by emailing Friendsofchapinlibrary@gmail.com. The deadline for completed applications is March 31, 2024.
The scholarship will be awarded at the April meeting of the Friends of the Chapin Library following a thorough review of all received applications. Please note that only applications submitted in their entirety will be considered and reviewed.
