IRMO – Lexington-Richland School District Five has appointed Audrey Black as the new Director of Planning and Accountability.
Black, currently the Director of Federal and State Programs in Richland School District Two, brings a wealth of experience in data analysis and strategic planning. She has previously served as a Data Analyst and GIS and Data Specialist in both Richland School District Two and the Richland County Assessor’s Office. She holds a Master of Public Administration-Public Policy and Administration from the City University of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of South Carolina.
“I am thrilled to join a district that is deeply dedicated to the success of its students,” said Black, a proud graduate of School District Five. “I want to give back to my community by helping to grow and nurture the next generation, just as the district’s teachers and staff did for me. I look forward to partnering with educators and administrators to create systems that enhance student engagement, achievement, and well-being.”
Dr. Michael Harris, Chief of Student Services and Planning, expressed his enthusiasm for Black’s appointment, stating, “Mrs. Black’s track record in data analysis, team-building, redistricting, and strategic planning make her a perfect fit for this role. Black’s expertise in planning and accountability will be instrumental in helping the district continue its focus on student success and sustainable growth.
