Parents in Chapin looking to update their children’s wardrobes will soon have a new local option. Three Little Chickadees, a children’s boutique, will hold its grand opening on Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at 403 C Chapin Rd.
Co-owners Megan Lowe and Creighton Coogler initially planned for the business to be online-only but decided to expand into a 1,200 sq.-ft. brick-and-mortar store after finding what they called the perfect location. The boutique will carry clothing for both boys and girls, featuring their own brand as well as popular lines like Saltwater Boys Co. and Mila and Rose. Sizes will range from 12 months to children’s size 8, with plans to expand into teen sizes in the future.
In addition to children’s clothing, there will also be a selection for moms, offering jewelry and purses. Lowe, who also owns the Back to the Rack consignment sale, said the support from her customer base in that business was a driving force behind the decision to open the children’s store.
The boutique’s name, Three Little Chickadees, holds special significance for both owners. Lowe’s daughter and two of Coogler’s daughters met in gymnastics class, and the boutique is named in honor of the three girls. The daughters will take part in the grand opening by cutting the ribbon alongside their moms.
Although not a consignment store, Three Little Chickadees will feature a small section with consignment clothes for women and kids from Back to the Rack.
Following its opening, the boutique will be open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, check out Three Little Chickadees on Facebook.
