Looking for a way to kickstart your weekend with high-energy action? The Irmo Fire District’s High Intensity Team (HIT) is hosting a free community workout Saturday, March 21, and residents are invited to train alongside local firefighters.
Whether you’re ready to push your limits or simply want to enjoy a morning of community spirit, the event offers something for everyone. Come for the workout and stay for coffee, food, and a close-up look at fire engines.
The event will take place at Moore Park, located at 7473 Church Street in Irmo, with activities held on the large grassy field on the left side of the park.
Schedule of Events:

9 a.m. — Registration and coffee

10 a.m. — Opening ceremony

10:30 a.m. — Group stretch and workout demonstration

11 a.m. — Community workout

Noon–2 p.m. — Food, fire trucks, sponsor booths, and merchandise
Participants must be at least 16 years old to join the workout and will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival. First responders and military personnel are encouraged to wear their department or unit shirts. Spectators are also welcome—bring a sign and cheer on the participants.
The event is free, but registration is required to take part in the workout.
