Richland County Stands Against Child Abuse
On June 29, residents and Richland County employees came together to take a stand against child abuse by participating in the Super Hero 5K and Family Fun Day at Saluda Shoals. The race drew more than 100 runners, with attendees donning their best superhero costumes while enjoying food and fellowship.
This annual event was hosted by Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), an organization dedicated to providing a voice for abused and neglected children. The Family Fun Day not only offered a lively and engaging atmosphere but also raised awareness about the crucial work CASA performs in the community.
Participants of all ages had a chance to show their support for this important cause while embracing the spirit of heroism and community solidarity. By coming together in such a vibrant and positive way, the event highlighted the collective commitment to protecting and advocating for the well-being of children in Richland County.
