Columbia Boat Show under new management

The Columbia Boat Show is set to make a return to the S.C. State Fairgrounds February 16-18.

The annual event is newly owned by Midlands Boat Show Group and managed by veteran boat show management and marketing company JBM & Associates.

The Midlands Boat Show Group is a new organization formed by local boat dealers who have participated in the Columbia Boat Show for decades. The group’s mission is to promote boating in the Midlands region and support the local boating community.

“JBM & Associates is thrilled to partner with the Midlands Boat Show Group and bring our expertise and experience to the Columbia Boat Show,” said JBM President and Founder Jacqui McGuinness. “We have a passion for creating memorable and successful events that showcase the best of the boating industry while providing a fun and educational experience for attendees. We look forward to working with the Midlands Boat Show Group and making the Columbia Boat Show bigger and better than ever.”

JBM created a fresh new brand for the Columbia Boat Show, including a new logo, website, social media strategy, and overall look and feel of the event.

JBM has produced boat shows in the Southeast since 2002, beginning with the annual Charleston Boat Show, now in its 44th year. JBM started the Savannah Boat Show in 2003 and Wilmington Boat Show in 2016. They have also produced in-water boat shows in Charleston, St. Augustine, and Jacksonville, Florida.

“JBM & Associates has produced the largest boat show in South Carolina for the past 22 years,” McGuinness said. “We have built amazing relationships with boat dealers, manufacturers, and other marine-related businesses. These relationships are invaluable and will help us grow the Columbia Boat Show. We strive to make our events experiences for the entire family.”

Brandon Crutchfield, President of Midlands Boat Show Group and 360 Marine in Chapin said,

“We chose JBM & Associates to manage the event because they have the experience and understanding of what it takes to produce a successful boat show for dealers as well attendees. They have the contacts and knowledge to create a first-class event for the Midlands market.”

Boat enthusiasts and families alike can look forward to a display of hundreds of boats from local dealers and exhibitors. The Columbia Boat Show will showcase the latest models and trends in the boating industry. Mark your calendars for the Columbia Boat Show at the State Fairgrounds February 16-18.
