Brady Albro will get to close out his high school career in an All-Star game.

The senior quarterback was added to the South roster of the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl. The game will take place Dec. 21 at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach.

“Brady has been a blessing to our program and will be missed very much,” Chapin offensive coordinator Jody Haltiwanger said. “He is the most accurate passer I’ve ever coached.  He has worked so hard at his craft to where he is basically another coach on the field for our team.  I am so proud of his accomplishments and can’t wait to see him compete in the North-South Game this year.”

“Brady has had an awesome career at Chapin,” head coach Ryan Cole said. “I am glad that he has the opportunity to play in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl. He’s a great player and an even better young man.”

The Eagles’ career leader in passing yards (8,001) and touchdowns (63), Albro threw for 2,763 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior. He replaced Northwestern’s Finley Polk who was added from the Touchstone Energy Bowl to the South Carolina roster for the Shrine Bowl taking place the same day at Spartanburg High School.

River Bluff tight end Stephen Collier was also added to the Shrine Bowl roster. The East Carolina signee is the fourth Gator in school history to play for the Sandlappers.

Teammate Aaron Griffin was also added to the Touchstone Energy Bowl roster.

Newberry wide receiver Caleb Levy will play for the South team in the noon game at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
