On Thursday, November 9, the festivities in Chapin unfolded with excitement. The day kicked off with a ribbon-cutting and Open House for the Chapin Old Town Hall at 12:30 pm. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the renovations made to this historic building, witnessing its transformation. As guests wandered through, light finger foods were generously provided, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
Following the Old Town Hall celebration, the focus shifted to the public parking lot on Clark Street. At 1:30 pm, another ribbon-cutting ceremony took place, this time dedicated to the unveiling of a vibrant mural adorning the back of businesses. The mural, a creation by Nikki Peeples, a talented member of the Crooked Creek Art League, showcased various scenes and activities from Chapin and its surrounding areas.
The mural, a splendid addition to the Chapin Art Trail, captured the essence of the community’s spirit and history. The dedication ceremony marked a momentous occasion, celebrating the talent of local artists and the richness of Chapin’s cultural heritage. The town came together to appreciate and commemorate these creative expressions that added beauty and meaning to their shared spaces.
