In Mr. Marc Alexander’s 5th-grade class at Chapin Intermediate, students are immersing themselves in eco-awareness through the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC) Classroom Recycling program, spearheaded by Ms. Ginger Boney. With a focus on embracing the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, the class is gaining valuable insights into the impact of their choices on Earth’s precious resources.
The student’s commitment to environmental responsibility is demonstrated through their collective efforts, symbolized by the simple act of recycling one yogurt container at a time. This small yet meaningful action reflects not only the dedication of Mr. Alexander’s class but also the broader commitment of Chapin Intermediate to cultivate environmentally conscious leaders among its students.
