Chapin finished second behind Boiling Springs by one stroke in the South Carolina High School League Class 5A tournament held at the Country Club of Lexington.

This was the Eagles’ highest finish since 2012 when they competed in Class 3A.

Leading the way for Chapin was Chase Cline, who tied for fourth place overall. He earned All-State honors along with Lexington’s Roman Mullinax (151) who finished second.

This past weekend, Cline and Mullinax were teammates at the North/South All-Star golf matches held at the Greenville Country Club.

Cline went 3-0 at the event to help the South defeat the North. The South team was coached by Roger Smith of River Bluff.
