As Chapin seeks to add to its state record of competitive cheer titles, it enters Saturday’s final at Colonial Life Arena as the clear favorite.

The Lady Eagles coasted to victory at the Class 5A Division II qualifier. They seek a state-record 18th state title in a field that also includes Irmo, which finished seventh to qualify.

In Division I, Dutch Fork placed third at the qualifier behind defending champion Lexington and River Bluff. The Lady Silver Foxes are seeking an eighth state title which would place them second all-time behind Chapin.
