Black Eats Week 803 set for June 19 – 25

The inaugural Black Eats Week 803 will be held June 19 – 25 as part of Juneteenth celebration week, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, bakeries, creameries, and more in the Midlands area.

Black Eats Week 803 aims to highlight and support Black entrepreneurs in the food industry, providing a platform that creates awareness and allows diners the opportunity to discover new favorites while supporting their local community. The event will feature special menus and promotions at participating businesses, as well as community events and activities.

“We are thrilled to bring Black Eats Week to the Midlands area and celebrate the amazing culinary talent of Black-owned businesses,” said Khali Gallman, event organizer. “This event is not just about great food; it’s about supporting our community and recognizing the important contributions of Black-owned businesses, while also recognizing the significance of Juneteenth.”

Registration is now open for businesses to participate. Black Eats Week 803 is open to restaurants, food trucks, bakeries, creameries, and any other food-related businesses owned by Black entrepreneurs. Sponsors will have the opportunity to showcase their support for the community and diversity and inclusion initiatives, while gaining exposure to attract new customers.
