The outdoor observance will take place at the flagpole in front of the Town Hall building. Limited seating is available, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. The area is handicapped accessible.
Following the ceremony, an indoor reception will be held for all attendees. Community members are invited to submit images, names, and ranks of fallen service members to be publicly honored. Submissions can be sent to Dylan Francis at communications@chapinsc.com.
This year’s keynote speaker is Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Tim Burton, whose distinguished military career includes honors such as the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and multiple badges and tabs recognizing elite training and service.
Mayor Al Koon and the Town of Chapin express their gratitude to Gold Star families, local Scouts, Chapin High School students, business sponsors, and all veterans and service members—especially those who gave their lives in defense of the nation.
