Eagles sit atop region standings

Things are looking up for Chapin soccer entering Spring Break.

The boys’ team remains undefeated in Region 4-5A at 6-0. They can solidify their lead over second-place Lexington with a win April 14 at Cecil Woolbright Field.

The Eagles (12-2, 6-0) won the first meeting 3-1 on March 20. Since then, Chapin has beaten its last four region opponents by a 19-0 margin.

On the girls’ side, the Lady Eagles (9-3, 4-2) stand in third place behind Lexington and River Bluff. Both region losses occurred to those teams via shootout to the Lady Wildcats and 1-0 to the Lady Gators.
