CHAPIN – The Crooked Creek Art League will open its 2025–26 year with the first meeting on Monday, September 15, at Crooked Creek Park. The evening will feature a presentation by League President Michael Naughton, an award-winning acrylic painter, titled “Tracing My Path to Abstract Painting.”
Naughton, known for his expressive and colorful work, will share the story of how he discovered his passion for art, the influences that shaped his creative journey, and the challenges and triumphs that led him to abstract painting. His presentation promises to be both personal and inspiring, offering attendees a glimpse into the process behind his unique style.

The evening will begin with refreshments and social networking at 5:30 p.m., followed by a short business meeting and Naughton’s presentation at 6:00 p.m.
The League invites all artists, artisans, and art enthusiasts to attend. Whether you’re an experienced painter, a hobbyist, or simply someone who enjoys the creative spirit, this gathering is a chance to connect with others in the local arts community.
