Water usage restrictions in effect until September

The Town of Chapin posted on their Facebook account to customers on the Amicks Ferry Water System asking them to limit water usage during the peak hours of 4:30am until 9:30am each morning. Due to high-water use demands during the morning hours residents are being asked not to use sprinkler systems for lawns until later in the day unless the water comes directly from the lake. The issue is being caused by the  hot weather and once the heat of the summer is gone in September the restrictions will be lifted.

The town says they have completed engineering for a long-term solution and will begin construction once funding and permitting details are finalized. For any questions call the town offices at 803-345-0416.
