Leeza’s Care Connection held its annual Dare2Care Gala on November 21 at the USC Alumni Center, delivering an emotional and inspiring evening dedicated to supporting caregivers.

Jay Allen Performance:
- The Voice standout Jay Allen performed his heartfelt song “Blank Stares,” written in honor of his mother’s battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s. The moving performance brought the audience to its feet and highlighted the struggles of caring for loved ones with memory loss.

Dare2Lead Award:
- Coach Dawn Staley received the Dare2Lead Award for her leadership and inspiration both on and off the court.
- Bakari Sellers, CNN commentator and author, introduced Staley, who shared her personal journey caring for her mother as she faced Alzheimer’s.
Founder Leeza Gibbons reflected on the evening, saying, “Jay Allen and Dawn Staley elevated our event with their charisma, talent, and authentic stories of the heartache of loving someone who is disappearing memory by memory.”
